It all began when Ceclo founder Florent Vitiello and his wife were on their honeymoon in Mauritius. They wanted to spend some romantic time at sea, but the suggestions they received (jet skiing, diving) didn’t meet their expectations.

I was looking for a quiet nautical activity for the two of us. Renting a boat was out of the question, as I know nothing about sailing. So I asked the hotel if they had pedalos, but was told that this type of craft was not in keeping with the hotel’s standing.

Inspired by this experience, Florent conceived the idea of creating a product that would enable intimate and luxurious outings on the water: a premium pedal boat with electric assistance.

Florent Vitiello enters the Alès Audace competition, encouraged by the town’s mayor at the time, Max Roustan. He won second prize, which enabled him to launch his company and develop his concept.

Ceclo is unveiled to the public at the Paris Boat Show in December 2014.

We reinvented the pedal boat, keeping only its playful aspect, and named it Ceclo, incorporating the notion of “cycle.” We added an “electric” intelligence, which is why we replaced the “y” with an “E,” the guiding element of all our products.

Launch of larger-scale production of Ceclo products in Molières sur Cèze (30410) at the foot of the Cévennes, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This choice is explained by the competence of the industrial basin and the proximity of Ceclo’s suppliers.

Arrival of Yamaha Motors as an equipment supplier. Yamaha, leader and reference in its sector, offers innovative and extremely reliable nautical products, a guarantee of quality for our beach tourism professionals.

Launch of the Ceclo Jetskid,
a playful, unsinkable 100% electric water bike designed for children aged 5 to 12.

Launch of Ceclo E-Trott, the electric sea scooter, following the takeover, at the end of 2022, of production of the BLUE WAY: a sea scooter for rental professionals. After 3 months of Research & Development, the Ceclo E-Trott was born, incorporating the Ceclo design and the brand’s technical elements (battery).

10 years after its creation, Ceclo takes part in the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France at the Elysée Palace. It’s a fine recognition of the brand’s know-how.
